The Independent Care Review was a root and branch review of Scotland’s care system. On 5th February 2020, guided by the stories, views and experiences of over 5,500 children, families, and those working in and around the ‘care system’, the Independent Care Review published seven reports, including ‘the promise’. Fiona Duncan is the Independent Strategic Advisor - the promise, a role that includes chairing The Promise Scotland, the body responsible for driving the change demanded by the conclusions of the Independent Care Review, which she also chaired.

Scotland has a clear vision of what it wants its transformed ‘care system’ to look like by 2030. Only by working together will Scotland #KeepThePromise - and this requires planning together. Please get in touch by emailing plan2430@thepromise.scot.

The Promise Scotland is an organisation that exists to support Scotland in keeping its promise to care experienced people. It will only exist until 2030, by which time the promise should be kept. Find out more about The Promise Scotland.
